ScribeShark uploads selected audio to its server because transcription runs with faster-whisper outside the browser. In the public deployment, audio is deleted after processing succeeds or fails, and a successful transcript remains temporarily available to the owning session until the configured job retention period expires. Private job URLs require the matching secure session cookie and are excluded from search indexing. Consult ScribeShark's privacy page for the current policy.
